How much are the classes?

The classes are 25 CHF / hour and are held for 2 hours every week.

What materials do I need to start? Where can I get it?

You can buy the best material for your needs for all classes directly at the studio’s store in Fribourg. Let the artist advise you on the right products and come in worry-free!

How many people are in a class, typically?

There will never be more than 4 students following the same class. That way, everyone can spend a lot of time improving and asking questions. It leads to a fast-learning curve and a general calmer ambiance.

Can I join at any time of the year?

Yes, semi-private classes allow new students to join in anytime, as long as there are places available. You don’t need to worry about feeling behind. Everyone works on their own projects.

I have never taken drawing classes before; won’t I be behind compared to other students?

No. Classes mix all levels, and everyone goes at their own pace. Don’t worry, the classes are designed to work perfectly that way.

I would like to take manga drawing classes, is that possible?

Yes, everyone can work towards their own goals and preferences.

I would like to be introduced to painting, but I’m not sure exactly which technique I would like.

Vandy teaches all techniques, from watercolour to digital painting. Take that opportunity to test and try what you feel like exploring. If you’re unsure, the artist will guide you depending on your preferences.

If I want to try painting, do I have to buy everything myself first?

No, try-out materials are offered in class. Once you settle on a medium you like, all the material can be purchased on the spot. It’s that easy!
